Got a flag from Admin this morning. Dr. Nowak, the researcher from that mouse lab that went up, filed his final report. He's blaming the fire on "unforeseen facility power instability" and "degraded conduit performance."

"Degraded conduit performance." That's a new one. It's a nice, clean way of saying "maintenance's fault."

Kid's out of his mind. He runs a custom, un-certified power tap from a main trunk, the entire facility grid flickers for 3.14 seconds, and he tries to pin the resulting light show on my team? This one's on Orein.

I pulled our logs for the last six months. Sector 4, Conduits 4A-4G. All green. Full diagnostics run on the 5th. No degradation.

I sent the packet to my supervisor. I'm not taking the fall for some hotshot researcher who doesn't know the difference between a power socket and a Klein fusion tap.

Told Arlow to stay out of it. Keep your head down, do the work, log everything as clean as they like to see them. Let the eggheads fight about it.
